Liquid Stranger: Dimensions Tour Recap

Went a little deeper at Liquid Stranger's Dimensions Tour at The National in Richmond, VA.

This show was honestly one of the best things I've ever seen and definitely worth the drive. Showed up to the venue and the line was wrapped around the door but it moved fast. Walked inside and it was nothing like I was expecting. There were no lines to get drinks all night, there was a cheap and easy coat check, and the best part was how intimate the venue was.

We were in the back on the floor by the mix booth and still felt like we were up close and personal with the artists and the crowd. The theater was old and had a ton of character and was really the last place I would expect to be seeing a heinous bass show.

The show started off with Tape B who delivered another awesome set. He played all his hits and dropped some ISOxo which is always nice. I had just seen Tape B at Lost Lands and was hyped that his set was so different but still gave me all the songs I wanted to hear.

Next up was my first Ravenscoon set which was an absolute banger all the way through. He had so much energy on stage and the crowd definitely fed off of it. He has been on my radar for a while so I was really pumped for this set.

Also got to see my first Tripp St. set which I think was my favorite of the night. His visuals were on point and his song choice was incredible. He dropped some funky bass songs, a nice helping of dnb, and plenty of songs that had me pulling up Shazam.

I had seen Liquid Stranger before but he took it to the next level with this show. His production was incredible with the lasers popping off and some beautiful visuals. About 30 minutes in, he stopped playing and brought out all his support for a little 20 minute b2b. It was really cool to see Liquid Stranger just chilling on the side of the stage hyping up smaller artists and letting them get some time with the full stage production. Tape B, Ravenscoon, and Tripp St. were awesome together and really tore up the stage. Liquid came back on and absolutely deleted the decks. He played some unreleased songs with Sully, LSDream, and Drinkurwater that I need him to release asap. He dropped the new Tvboo song, 'MaryWana' which has been on repeat since it came out. I also got the hear 'Holla' and 'Berserk' which always pop off.

Overall, I would highly recommend anyone who loves bass music go see this tour. The lineup is stacked and the production is top tier. I'll definitely be on the lookout for all of these artists on future lineups.
